Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor request paparazzi to NOT click pics of kids Taimur & Jeh amid new security measures

During the wee hours of January 16, actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked in his upscale Bandra house during an attempted home burglary. Now, days after the attack, Saif and his actress wife Kareena Kapoor Khan have laid down some new rules for the paparazzi who regularly click them out and about in the city.

As per a new Times of India report, Kareena’s team met with the Mumbai paparazzi on Tuesday, January 28. According to the report, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have asked the paps to refrain from clicking photos of their children, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan (Jeh) amid heightened security following the attack.

Aside from avoiding clicking their kids, the couple have also requested the paparazzi to not gather outside their residence. However, a India Today report has added that Saif and Kareena said that the paps can click their pictures if they attend an event.

Attack details

On January 16, Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his upscale Bandra home in Mumbai when burglar entered his home. While attempting to keep his kids, the actor was stabbed several times and rushed to Bandra’s Lilavati Hospital. While under medical supervision, Saif underwent spinal and plastic surgeries. He was discharged on January 21 and was snapped returning to his house.

The burglar – later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad – was arrested and admitted to entering the home with the intent to commit theft. Hours after the stabbing incident, Kareena issued a statement urging fans and media to respect the family’s privacy in difficult times. She wrote, “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage.”
